Hello! Welcome to ‘Fate and Fortune’ a One Piece tarot zine! How are we different from the other projects? We aren’t creating cards and this is a writer-driven collection of short stories. Feel free to look around and find out all about the upcoming project!

About

So you already know this project will be heavy on writers and the focus is around Tarot. We will take on a COVER artist and SPOT ARTISTS who can do art for each fic. Depending on how many people apply will depend on how many pieces/cards people are allowed to create. Suppose 30 writers sign-up that's 2 to 3 pieces each.A Tarot deck has 78 cards. Writers will be given cards at random to create a short story for. For exampleThe High Priestess
Upright meaning: unconscious, intuition, mystery, spirituality, higher power, inner voice
Reversed meaning: repressed intuition, hidden motives, superficiality, confusion, cognitive dissonanceIt’s the writer's job to pick either upright or reversed [Even the romantic meaning!] and take inspiration from those keywords for the plot or about a character you think fits those personality traitsSome cards have descriptions of the card which can be used. Example:The Emperor card in Tarot symbolizes accomplishment, confidence, wealth, stability, leadership, father/brother/husband, achievement, and a capable person.Artists will get to pick what writer/s they work with and create a scene from the story that will fit inside the borders of a card.FANFICS must be between 5oo and 1.5 words [again we are focusing on many short stories!] we will not be assigning characters to cards, once card/s have been given to writers they can pick their context/ship/characters.

Nope, 100% free and digital.

Can I share the discord link when I get it?
Nope! Anyone who wasn’t invited will be removed.

Will I be judged on content I create outside of this space?
Nope.

Why is the timeline so big?
Because we have intern mods learning and this might be many peoples first zine/project.

Rules

We aim to accept almost everyone who signs up but we do have a few basic rules.+No joke applications [Just to see if you will get accepted, only want to apply as a joke]+No drama [if you are known for harassment or anti-pro shipper discourse or have anything in your profile that is disrespectful to others ‘pro shitters’ ‘kys’ vibes] you will not be accepted.+We are a ship-and-let-ship environment but not every zine will allow shipping, we will have general themes too. We also will have designated sections in the server for such content for you to avoid.+ Everyone who signs up needs to be at least 18 years of age. [Mods are all in their 30s]+ You do not need any previous zine experience to join. We welcome people who have been in 0 zines or 100 zines!+There will be no homophobia, racism, politics, transphobia or other such talk permitted in our projects our are servers.+ There will be no drama allowed in any project and mods have the right to remove people from the project.

Expectations

Cover Artist:To create a front and back cover based on the theme and in keeping with style.

Writers: To create between 1 to 4 short fanfictions between 500-1.5k words per fic.

Artists: To create 1 to 4 accompanying art pieces for fanfics.
+
AUs are allowed - Shipping allowed but limited - canon violence and canon typical elements allowed.
